Depending on the Veteran’s eligibility, assessed needs, and approved benefits, VIP may provide support for:
Personal Care : Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other daily personal-care needs
Housekeeping & Home Support: Cleaning, laundry, household tasks, errands, and other essential home-support activities
Kitchen & Cooking Assistance: Assistance with meal preparation and related household food tasks
Nutrition Support : Assistance accessing nutrition services, including eligible meal services
Companionship & Support: Support that helps Veterans remain engaged and independent at home, where included within an approved service
Professional Health & Support Services: Eligible nursing, occupational therapy, assessments, and other approved professional services
Ambulatory Health Care: Eligible assessments, diagnostic services, activities, and transportation associated with accessing these services
Transportation Support: Eligible transportation to social, community, or health-related activities
Grounds Maintenance: Eligible services such as lawn maintenance and snow removal
Home Adaptations: Eligible contributions toward modifications to the Veteran’s principal residence that support everyday activities
Long-Term/Intermediate Care: Support may be available when remaining at home is no longer practical, subject to program eligibility and authorization
